Parker Brothers

My father brings me something new just about every time he visits which is pretty cool. How about a horse racing game that you play using your VCR. Yes there are probably a few people in this world that still have one. This game Let's Go To The Races by Parker Brothers. It has been unwrapped but never used. It's really cool to look back on the games of the past to see how much has changed in the game world. Starting bid is $100,000. Haha

Super Shooter

What an old Polaroid. It may have no value but it sure is old. Can you even get the square flash bulb that it uses? I forgot all about this until my father dropped by. I use to think this was amazing to own. Well as soon as you buy something the next generation is already in the makes. It does bring me back to the simpler times.

Bell & Howell 8mm

My father was down for a visit this past weekend and look what he brought with him. An old fashion hand crank 8mm Bell & Howell movie camera. Amazing piece of old fashion technology. The handle needs a pin to hold it on. I know nothing about this item except its very old. My father will be bring the movie projector that goes with it. Also a Bell& Howell. As soon as its here I will post it. Let me know what you think.

14K Gold Watch

This is my most valued collection. This watch was givin to me by my grandfather. It is a 14k white gold Longenes watch with manual winding. It needs a new crystal and a good cleaning. Still works. I had this watch appraised in 1989. They valued it at $3200. Most jewelers won't touch it because its and antique. One jeweler offered me $850 for the band alone. I will hold on to it for now unless its a life changing amount of money .

Choo Choo

How about a Chicago and North Western electric train set. I got this from my parents when I was just a little one. Its has some defects and haven't tried running it for a long time. I have about 7 cars total. I would always set it up at Christmas. It brings back alot of good memories. If I still had the box and was in better condition,I think it would be a collectors item.

Old Coins

These 2 coins belong to my father. A 1856 half dollar and 1925 silver dollar. As you can see the 1925 silver dollar is in great condition, however the 1856 half dollar has lost its luster and a bit worn. I'm sure it can be cleaned up a bit. If they are worth more than face value, I don't know. I hope so.

Hess Rescue Truck

This Hess truck was actually a gift, Its at least 12 years old. Its not NIB,however the truck is in great condition and the box has a little wear. I know some of these are great collectibles and very popular around Christmas.

Cheese Grater

This is an old style cheese grater. Its upside down in the picture. It actually can be secured to the edge of a table and has a wooden block to press down on the cheese. My grandparents used this long ago. No identifying marks other than what looks like the number 4.

Argus update

From a previous post of the Argus camera,I finally found the flash attachment buried deep in the garage. I'm not sure if the even sell the flash bulbs for this. The image is not as nice as the first. Will adjust soon.

Camel Joe Zippo

I actually found this Camel Joe lighter in a parking lot several years ago. I have not used it or even added any butane. It does spark but that's as much as I know about its ability.

Cigar Box

What about a Garcia cigar box? Its a bit beat up around the edges. These particular cigars were Garcia Grande Cubs costing 5 cents each. I don't remember ever seeing my grandfather smoke a cigar.

Argus Camera

This camera actually belongs to my father. Its a very old Argus black and white camera. Haven't used it in a long time, but when I did it worked very well and took great pictures. It has a leather wrap around case. The strap did tear off from one side. I have the flash Assembly that connects to the side (not shown),I just have to find what box it is in.

Sterling silver

I have a set of 4 silver stem cups. They need polishing. My grandfather used them for whiskey. They have a small mark on the bottom stem which looks like either a 1 or C,not sure what it is. Maybe its part of the manufacturing process.

Sugar Bowl

One of the things I have from my grandfather is a sugar bowl. I'm not sure if it's truly all copper or not. The engraving on the bottom is E.P Copper 412. It needs to be cleaned and there is a small dent on the base. I think it has a great color to it. Maybe it's worth something, maybe not. Anyone know?
